I started 2019 in Berlin and ended the Decade in Oslo, the city I get married in next year. I lived exactly half the year in London before moving my entire life to New York. 2019, the end of the second decade of the 21st Century really has been quite a year for me. I became 46 years young and feel like I’m only just getting started with this crazy and unpredictable life we are gifted.
If I look back at my last post of 2018, I had a feeling this year was going to be a good one - but quite what it had in store I could only have dreamed of. 2019 really was a defining, course changing year of my life, professionally, personally and geographically.
The travel adventures of 2019 have also come thick and fast! I had second visits to 2 previous favorites - Slovenia and Brazil. Both trips were even better than the first! Also 5 first visits - each one of which I look forward to getting back to.
But the most exciting travel adventures of 2019 was everything that the US had to surprise me with. This vast, varied beautiful country that I now call my home has so much to offer. I have been lucky to visit places often not considered to visitors, that I will look forward to heading back to and enjoying in my own time.
And with the visitors I had in 2019 I could enjoy NYC as a tourist with them - although everyday I’ve lived here so far I walk around with a smile as though I’m on holiday!
As 2020, the start of a brand new decade arrives and the start of the new millennium - the year 2000 drifts further into memories from the distant past I am excited about what the future holds.
2020 will be another milestone of a year for me and I wish you the very best for the brand spanking new decade.
Happy New Decade…
