I decided to head back to Lofoten in February 2018, my 4th visit to this amazing place, a place that I'm sure I could never tire of. It's taken me 3 visit to realise you can do the trip in 1 day. Previously I had thought you needed to have an overnight in Oslo, but this time I'm flying SAS and can get there in 1 day.
I also noticed that the accommodation was a bit harder to find, as I guess Lofoten becomes more and more popular, and with limited space this will only get worse - my tip - if you wanna visit - do it sooner rather than later...
The main reason for wanting to head back was to see this amazing place in all its glory, crowned with snow. After last January's visit which was really wet and warm I booked this year 2 weeks later. I mean why would you expect the Arctic Circle to be cold?
So far the forecast looks perfect, although no snow planned - but also no rain - I'll take that...
